Choose the island where you are staying
Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria have separate submarine departures. Start with your holiday base: Amarilla Marina on Tenerife, Puerto Calero on Lanzarote, or Puerto de Mogán on Gran Canaria. Travelling to another island adds a ferry or flight and should be planned as a separate journey, rather than a short transfer to the marina.
For a family or group, settle the island first, then compare the departure time, boarding requirements and total cost. A slightly cheaper ticket on another island can be poor value once you include the journey there.
Dive time and getting to the marina
Submarine Safaris says its Tenerife and Lanzarote trips take about an hour including boarding, with dives reaching about 30 m. Coach transfers are available; confirm the pickup point and return time for your resort when booking. Allow extra time if you drive yourself, rather than treating the submarine's trip time as your entire outing.
Atlántida's Gran Canaria experience takes about 40–45 minutes from boarding. The operator recommends arriving at least 20 minutes early. Its dive reaches about 20–25 m. These durations describe different parts of the outing, so ask for time underwater if that is your main comparison.
Children and boarding access
Submarine Safaris and Atlántida do not accept children under two. Both experiences require climbing vertical ladders into the submarine; the Tenerife booking page explicitly says wheelchair users cannot be accommodated. Contact the operator with your group's mobility needs before paying, even if a ticket is marketed as suitable for families.
Prices and booking conditions
On 5 October 2026, Atlántida advertised a €38 adult box-office fare including taxes. Online tickets have separate discount and purchase conditions. For Tenerife and Lanzarote, use the operator's booking page to confirm the adult and child fares for your date, together with any hotel transfer.
Check the cancellation terms attached to your booking and leave room in your itinerary for a change of departure. Underwater visibility and sea conditions can change; choose the trip for its location and format rather than expecting a particular animal sighting.
