Waikiki, Kona or Maui?

Choose the tour on the island where you are staying. Waikiki is on Oahu, Kailua-Kona is on Hawaii Island, and Lahaina is on Maui. A departure on another island needs a separate travel plan and should not be treated as a nearby alternative.

Atlantis describes Waikiki's route as a visit to artificial reefs, including sunken ships and an airplane, while Kona explores a natural coral reef. The Maui experience includes the Carthaginian wreck. These give you different underwater settings; no itinerary guarantees a particular wildlife sighting.

Allow for the boat transfer as well as the dive

Atlantis's booking information describes a 45-minute submarine dive within a tour lasting about 1 hour and 45 minutes. A shuttle boat takes passengers to the submarine. Add travel to check-in and the required early arrival to your day's plan, especially if you have another timed activity afterwards.

For Waikiki, the ticket office is at the Hilton Hawaiian Village beachfront near the Ali‘i Tower. The operator asks guests to check in 20 minutes before their tour. Kona's check-in information points to its office on Palani Road and parking at the Courtyard King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel; follow the instructions on your confirmation.

Maui departures after the Lahaina restart

Atlantis announced the restart of Maui tours from Lahaina Harbor in June 2026. The restart announcement described a 48-passenger submarine diving to 130 ft and departures on five days a week, with temporary harbor arrangements. Confirm your date, meeting point and parking instructions directly when booking, because the operating calendar and access arrangements may change.

Children and ladder boarding

Atlantis requires children to be at least 36 inches tall. Its booking pages also require each guest to climb a nearly vertical ladder independently. Check these requirements for every passenger before buying tickets. If boarding access is a concern, describe the assistance you need to the operator and ask whether the tour can accommodate it.

Compare the total price

Atlantis advertised all-inclusive adult fares of US$167.81 for Waikiki and US$160.41 for Kona when checked on 5 October 2026. Compare the offer for your date and passenger category, then budget separately for travel and parking. Ask which charges are already included, and read the cancellation terms for the provider you book with.
