Choose the south coast or the east coast

Seogwipo Submarine visits the waters around Munseom Island from Jeju's south coast. The U-do submarine departs from Seongsanpo Port on the east coast, near Seongsan Ilchulbong. They are different departure areas and routes, so choose the one that fits your driving or public-transport itinerary.

If you are comparing them, begin with your hotel and the other places you want to visit that day. Check the journey to the correct ticket office before reserving a departure; a search for “Jeju submarine” alone does not identify which port you need.

What the published trip details tell you

Korea Tourism Organization describes Seogwipo's route as a soft-coral and shipwreck experience reaching about 40 m. It gives an approximate visit duration of 70 minutes. Treat that as time for the visit, rather than assuming all 70 minutes are spent underwater.

Visit Jeju describes a boat transfer from Seongsanpo Port to the U-do submarine dock. Ask the operator to confirm both the transfer time and the underwater portion when comparing the two tours. We have not included a U-do dive depth in the table because we could not verify it reliably.

Booking times and fares

The tourism listings describe year-round operation, but departures depend on weather and operating conditions. Confirm the day's schedule before travelling to the port, and ask how early your party needs to arrive. Leave space between the submarine visit and another reservation so a transfer or departure change does not spoil the rest of your day.

Korea Tourism Organization's Seogwipo page displays more than one adult fare. Ask the operator for the current total in Korean won, the applicable child band and any extra charges instead of treating that page as a confirmed quote. For U-do, request a dated price for your party directly from the operator.

Questions for families and visitors with mobility needs

Before paying, confirm minimum age or height requirements, the boat transfer, and how passengers enter and leave the submarine. Ask about ladders and whether assistance is available. A published child fare or a family activity label does not establish that an infant or a passenger with limited mobility can board.

If commentary matters to your visit, ask which languages are offered on your specific departure. Keep the operator's contact details and your booking confirmation available for the journey to the port.
